I am Danielle, the owner of Danielle’s Paw Parlor, and I am 33 years old. I have been a professional dog groomer for 15 years. I learned to groom in Alaska while stationed there with my ex-husband, who was in the Army. My mentor was a certified master groomer from Georgia, and she played a crucial role in shaping me into the detail-oriented groomer I am today.
I lived in Las Vegas from grade school until I moved to Alaska, and then I moved back to Vegas after my divorce. I developed my creative skills in color and specialty cuts in Vegas by attending various grooming conventions and educational classes. I began working with special needs pets that required extra patience and compassion, especially those that struggle to understand the grooming process.
I fell in love with rehabilitating dogs that view grooming as a daunting experience. Though it’s often challenging and messy, I find it deeply rewarding when a dog enters the grooming salon aggressive or terrified and leaves feeling comfortable and affectionate.

I’d like to introduce my amazing office manager, Amy! We started working together at a previous job, and from the very first day, we hit it off and became great friends. I truly trust her to help care for all the furry friends that come into our lives. Amy has a fantastic background in rehabilitating fearful rescue dogs and has learned from one of the best trainers in the field. She’s not only a wonderful person but also shares my passion for dogs. While I’m busy caring for your pets in the back, Amy will be there to greet you and assist you at the front.
You’re in excellent hands with both of us at Danielle’s Paw Parlor!

A perfect example of this happened recently with a dog named Bones. When he arrived, he was aggressively barking and lunging at the leash, making it impossible for me to approach him. Although I couldn’t groom him that day, I reassured his owner that I would help. I came in on my day off to give him another chance. He had a meltdown during check-in, but once his owner left, he calmed down. I took the time to guide him through the process, and he didn’t growl, bite, or panic at any point. While there were some challenging moments, overall, he was terrific.
For me, grooming has never been about glory or money; it has always been about helping dogs. I strive to ensure that each dog doesn’t fear grooming, which is vital for their health and well-being. Over the years, I have rehabilitated over 100 dogs, primarily focusing on nail services. Each dog has taught me invaluable lessons, making me a better groomer and a better person.
